An impressive PV (Photovoltaic) system and battery had previously been installed, so the customer was after an electric storage system with a timer.  After discussing the hot water usage pattern and the fact our customer did not want a heat pump, we suggested the new Thermann Smart Electric System.

These are a new release product and come standard with a wifi module that allows the hot water system to communicate with an app on your smart device.  What this means is the system comes standard with handy features like timer and thermostat control so you can make changes to the water temperature stored in the tank.

Very easy to use and with this system you do not need to wire up complicated and expensive timers, it is all in the app.  You can download the app and have a practice of it in demo mode so you can try before you buy.

For this installation our customer chose the 250L storage capacity and we set the time frame for the system to operate between 10 am and 4 pm.  This is a common PV time period for electric style hot water systems.

The Thermann Smart Electric Hot Water System is Australian made, sold and supported through the Reece plumbing network.  The storage tank has a 10 year warranty.
