Envirosun HP Plus Heat Pump Installation – A Smart, Efficient Choice

Our customer’s existing gas system’s cylinder leaked and after careful research and consideration, our customer selected the Envirosun HP Plus Heat Pump — a smart and reliable choice for energy-efficient hot water. In this case, a large-capacity system wasn’t necessary; the 200L model was deemed more than sufficient for the household’s requirements.

Seamless Installation

This installation access to the site was ideal, although 200L in capacity, as with all heat pumps, they are large appliances, therefore we do need good access to get the appliance to its location.  

This installation was more involved than normal as the original system was recessed into the wall, a commonplace installation method from the 1970s.  The new system must be installed on the ground, in this case with grass ground cover we installed this on a larger 750mm concrete slab.  This has the added benefit of protecting the systems case from future gardening activity.  When we removed the system, we covered the hole, which was larger than the original system with Cement Sheet to weather and vermin proof the installation

The Envirosun HP Plus is designed with convenience in mind, coming standard with a 10-amp plug and lead, allowing it to be connected directly to a standard external power point. This is especially convenient for homes already equipped with one — often common place.

Performance and Flexibility

In standard operation, the HP Plus heats water to 65°C when selected using its energy-efficient heat pump. If additional hot water is required — for instance, when guests are staying — the unit’s electric element can be activated to top up the temperature beyond this, providing extra capacity when needed.  Mute mode is great for having the system recover at a lower quiet noise level, perfect for quiet operation at night.

For safety and peace of mind, a tempering valve has been installed to regulate hot water delivery to a maximum of 50°C, significantly reducing the risk of scalding while maintaining user comfort.
