Gas Storage to Reclaim Split Heat Pump
Reclaim Split Heat Pump with Panasonic Condenser
Our customer had a gas storage hot water system which was nearing the end of its life. Our customer also was transitioning off natural gas and wanted to use their photovoltaic solar system (PV) to power this system. The plan was to use the timer function, have the system heat during daylight hours and power the system for free for the majority of the year. As a larger hot water volume was required, we recommended the Reclaim with the 315L storage cylinder capacity.
This is a two piece system, the tank is manufactured in Australia and the condenser assembly is a quality Japanese unit made by Panasonic. Being two piece and modular the installation location options are increased.
The system is extremely quiet, easily one of the quietest we have installed and it has “top down heating” so the top of the tank is heated first. This is important because hot water delivery comes from the top of the tank so you don’t have to wait for the whole tank to be heated before you get usable hot water. This is a common complaint for many “lesser quality” systems that are flooding the market.
This system comes with a standard timer control and is ideal for the customer who just wants hot water and does not want to be bothered with wifi controls and apps, it just has a very simple timer with common pre set time periods, however it can also be programmed to run when suits you. This system was set to a time period that operated during daylight hours to benefit from power generated by PV panels.
The Reclaim brand is one of the most popular premium heat pump hot water systems on the market in Australia today.
It is available with Australian made stainless steel or glass lined tanks and the choice of wifi or non wifi controllers.
This system uses environmentally friendly C02 as the refrigerant.
